At the end of March 2022, the Federal Council lifted the last measures against the spread of the coronavirus and ended the special situation. This marked a return to the normal situation.
The main responsibility for measures to protect the population such as mandatory masks or access restrictions now lies with the cantons again. Please consult the cantonal regulations.

Filtration Efficiency of Hospital Face Mask
Question How effective are the aerosol filtration efficiencies for fitted face mask alternatives used during the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic?
Findings In this quality-improvement study of 29 fitted face mask alternatives, expired N95 respirators with intact elastic bands and masks that had been subjected to ethylene oxide and hydrogen peroxide sterilization had unchanged fitted filtration efficiencies (FFEs) of more than 95%, while the performance of N95 respirators in the wrong size resulted in decreased FFEs between 90% and 95%. As a group, surgical and procedure masks had lower FFEs relative to N95 respirators, with masks secured with elastic ear loops showing the lowest performance.

Der Bundesrat hat am 12. August entschieden, das vereinfachte Verfahren für die Voranmeldung von Kurzarbeit sowie das summarische Verfahren für die Abrechnung der Kurzarbeitsentschädigung (KAE) bis Ende Dezember 2020 beizubehalten. Daher sind bis am 31. Dezember 2020 für KAE ausschliesslich die hier zur Verfügung stehenden COVID-19-Formulare zu verwenden, unabhängig von der Begründung der KAE.
Für Kurzarbeitsentschädigung ab 1. September 2020 muss eine erneute Voranmeldung (im vereinfachten Verfahren) eingereicht werden – neu mit einer 10-tätigen Voranmeldungsfrist !

Le 12 août, le Conseil fédéral a décidé de maintenir la procédure simplifiée pour le préavis de réduction de l’horaire de travail (RHT) et la procédure sommaire pour le décompte de la réduction de l’horaire de travail jusqu’à la fin décembre 2020. Ainsi, jusqu’au 31 décembre 2020, seuls les formulaires COVID-19 doivent être utilisés pour la RHT, quelle que soit la justification de la RHT.
Pour l'indemnité en cas de réduction de l'horaire de travail à partir du 1er septembre 2020, un nouvel enregistrement préalable (dans le cadre d'une procédure simplifiée) doit être soumis - maintenant avec une période d'enregistrement préalable de 10 jours !

Ein "Corona-Erwerbsersatz" ist für selbstständigerwerbende Medizinapersonen noch nicht vorgesehen.
Die FMH, SSO und ChiroSuisse sind zurzeit sehr darum bemüht, beim Bund eine Änderung der Verordnung oder eine andere Lösung zu erwirken, welche einen Entschädigungsanspruch begründet.

FMH, SSO et ChiroSuisse s’efforcent actuellement d’obtenir auprès de la Confédération une modification de l’ordonnance ou une autre solution qui donne droit à une indemnité.

Organisatorische Massnahmen Poliklinik Chiropraktische Medizin - Information 18.3.2020
Aufgrund der aktuellen Notlage im Zusammenhang mit der Corona-Pandemie werden folgende Massnahmen ergriffen:
- Der klinische Lehrbetrieb an der Poliklinik wird ab 20.03.2020, 18:00 und mindestens bis zum 19.04.2020 eingestellt. Bis dahin werden dringende Folgekonsultationen von den Unterassistierenden bearbeitet. Neue Notfallkonsultationen werden ab sofort nur noch von Clinical Fellows bearbeitet.
- Nicht dringende Konsultationen werden von den behandelnden Unterassistierenden auf einen Zeitpunkt nach dem 19. April verschoben oder abgesagt. Eine Liste für ein Wiederaufgebot wird vom Sekretariat erstellt.
- Die telefonische Erreichbarkeit wird von Montag – Freitag, 08:00-12:00 und 13:0017:00 unter 044 386 57 06 gewährleistet
- Die Präsenzzeiten für den Notfallbetrieb (08:00 – 12:00 und 13:00 – 18:00) werden durch Clinical Fellows abgedeckt.

The Federal Council has declared the situation in Switzerland to be "extraordinary" and this evening decided to suspend public life. The population is called upon to stay at home. All commercial business and leisure activities will be suspended.
However, it is not a complete shutdown: Necessary services such as grocery stores, pharmacies, drugstores, post office, banks etc. will remain open. Medical practices, including the practices of chiropractors, are required to keep primary care upright, but to reduce consultations to urgent cases that cannot be postponed.

The ChiroSuisse Executive Board has formed a "Coronavirus"-Taskforce that will evaluate the rapidly changing situation on a daily basis. The goal is to provide ChiroSuisse members with relevant up to date information related to the Covid-19 epidemic and to support them in their decisions as healthcare professionals. The information will be updated on a regular basis as required
We are aware that many of our members are directly affected by the impact of the virus not only in practicing their profession but, depending on the situation, also economically - whether employed or self-employed, as employer or employee. However, protecting the most vulnerable members of our society and contributing to reducing the risk of transmission of the virus has highest priority.
